Many Christians believe we are living in the last days. These are the days Jesus referred to during his life on earth. When, Nations rise against Nations, Wars and rumors of wars were spoken many started looking. Also Jesus said when we see the budding of the fig tree look for our redeemer. We all know that the fig tree is a representation of the nation of Israel. What, is it then that could be holding back the wrath of God upon this world?
Some Christians are living as if there is no tomorrow. When we realized our need for Jesus to be our savior we became sold out for the cause of this gospel. What has changed? It is, that there has been 2,000 years plus since that statement was made and we became slack concerning his promises?
I know, we have the gloom and doom preachers and saints trying to grow their congregations with fear. However, the gospel Jesus proclaimed was Love. See, if we have love for him we can find the peace that cast out all fear. God is Love. This Holy Ghost Jesus said we will receive when he is gone will dwell in us. John 14:26 and John 15:26. He left us with this comforter.
Finding peace in this world is not what we Christians should be looking for. Our home is not of this world. We are a pilgrim passing through and we have a hope in a life better that this, when Jesus returns. Remember Jesus did not leave us without power. According to John chapter one, He said as many as received him to them He gave them power to become the sons of God. To them that call on his name.
Before Jesus was ascending to heaven he made this declaration. "And ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Acts 1:8 During the out pouring of the Holy Ghost on the Day of Pentecost, the world was amazed how each one there heard them speak with other tongues, and speaking in the language they were born with, Amazing Jesus referred to this Holy Ghost as a comforter.
What it did that day was bring comfort to many there that they could go back to their home land and preach or minister the good news to there families.
In this year 2016, is a great year we live in putting us one step closer to His coming. What we have to look forward to is the coming of the Lord Jesus. Sure some are thinking it will never happen. Many will say we have heard this for many years and we'll, where is He. We'll all I can say to that is: As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the coming of the son of man: They were marrying and given in marriage. Eating and drinking until Noah was taken up into the Ark.
Give your thoughts please. Also if your are one with this doubt would you explain why you have them?
